Greatest Love

Matthew 22:37-39

37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'^[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'^[b]

Jesus obviously knew what he was talking about. Love, its not just a simple concept and yet it is what is demand of us to keep.
Think about the 10 commandments:
1. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me. Thou shalt not make to thyself any graven thing.
2. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
3. Remember that thou keep holy the Lord's day.
4. Honor thy father and thy mother.
5. Thou shalt not kill.
6. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
7. Thou shalt not steal.
8. Thou shalt not bear false witness.
9. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods.

now among these, if you were asked the general public what would be the worst commandment to break; you would probably think murder, adultery, stealing would be pretty bad, but in reality it simply goes down to love. The reason love is so much more important then these is due to the simple fact that LOVE encompasses all these. If you love your God, with all your heart, mind, and soul then you would not take the lord's name in vain, you would remember to keep his day holy, you would ultimately put him above all things. Secondly, if we loved our neighbors as yourself, then you wouldn't steal from them their belongs, their spouses, or even their life. Simple for the fact of the golden rule. You wouldn't want that for yourself.

Now the answer is simple. Love.

But the action is so hard. I myself am no saint, I struggled with this concept all my life.

This is my greatest desire.... is to LOVE with all my heart, mind, and soul.
